PEMBROKE HALL · READER CARE

Privacy & your information

Your details are for the conversation you choose to have with us.

Who is responsible

Ronald Schweighardt, an independent author and individual publisher based in Ireland, is responsible for personal information collected through the Pembroke Hall website. Contact Reader Support with “Privacy request” in your subject line.

Reader updates & enquiries

If you choose reader updates, we store your email, selected interest, signup source, any referral code, consent version and submission time. Updates rely on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing Reader Support; withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful use.

If you submit an enquiry, we store your name, email, organisation if supplied, requested format and quantity, message and submission time. We use this to respond at your request and manage relevant correspondence. Enquiries do not add you to a marketing list. You may email us instead of using a form.

How information is handled

Forms save submissions in the website’s hosted database for publisher review. They do not currently send automatic confirmation emails. Email correspondence is handled through our Spacemail support mailbox, with a copy forwarded to our Microsoft inbox.

OpenAI and Cloudflare provide the website hosting and storage services; Spaceship/Spacemail and Microsoft provide the email services used for support. Providers may process technical information and correspondence outside Ireland, including outside the EEA. Contact us for information about the applicable provider arrangements, locations and safeguards. We do not sell the reader list.

For our legitimate interest in protecting the forms, we retain short-lived hashes of email and network identifiers with request counts. Expired abuse records are removed when the forms are used, after a two-day retention window. Raw network addresses are not stored in those records; the hosting provider may separately process technical logs.

Retention

Reader-list details are kept while you wish to receive updates, with inactive signups reviewed after 24 months. Enquiries are kept while they are being handled, with closed correspondence reviewed after 12 months and removed when no longer needed. Information needed for an ongoing issue or legal obligation may be retained for that purpose. Removal requests can be sent directly to Reader Support.

Cookies & choices

This website does not add advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Your selected currency is saved in this browser’s local storage, and referral codes are used if you submit them with a form. Hosting services may use essential technical cookies or security controls.

Providing signup details is optional. Without an email address, we cannot send updates or reply to an enquiry. This version does not collect payment-card details and does not make automated decisions about readers.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability where applicable, and withdraw marketing consent. Email Reader Support to make a request. You can also raise a concern with Ireland’s Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
